These artworks explore interior space, surface and colour relationships, recurring themes of O’Connell’s art practice. The translucent glass materiality within geometric forms invites perceptual shifts between exterior and interior. Horizon lines appear, floating within unbounded space, and colours oscillate between delineating surface and defining interior space or solid form.
