I use surrealism to process things. Like whom ‘owns’ resources and why do companies which produce a lot of waste don't have to be responsible for it. This painting was inspired by a Doré illustration of Divine Comedy, Inferno, by Dante Alighieri, captioned ‘Lucifer, King of Hell’.
