Sophie Perkins is a ceramic artist based on Waiheke Island.

"What better way to explain why I work with clay and words but to write a poem regarding my Poetry Ceramic series? My goal is always to create a picture, with as few words as possible, on a beautiful object.  I am endlessly curious about clay, nature, human behaviour, and politics.

like an endless invitation it keeps me returning
