"What better way to explain why I work with clay and words but to write a poem regarding my Poetry Ceramic series? My goal is always to create a picture, with as few words as possible, on a beautiful object. I am endlessly curious about clay, nature, human behaviour, and politics.

It’s the pause – when mud, dug between sea and sky, sighs, releases to my hands, and opens
like an endless invitation it keeps me returning
transforming clay and breath into vessels gathered before you - a poetry bowl, a plate. For life’s simplest of pleasures
