Summer 2026 Programme | Starts Saturday 7 November 

Wayfind Creative is a six-week programme for Waiheke creatives who want to make a living from their practice. You'll build practical business skills, learn from experienced mentors, and finish with a clear plan for what comes next. 

 

Key Details
  • Starts: Saturday 7 November 2026 
  • Runs: Six weeks, to mid-December 
  • Format: In-person workshops on Waiheke, Zoom workshops and self-paced online modules 
  • Where: Waiheke Art Gallery 
  • Cost: $400 (subsidised thanks to our funders and partners) 
  • Places: Limited - so get in quick!
  • Apply by: October 21st 2026

Key Dates
  • Saturday 7 November: Workshop 1, Vision, Mission and Values (in person, 10am - 3pm ) 
  • Start a self directed online journey using modules online.
  • Saturday 14 November : Workshop 2, Creative Warrant of Fitness and Resilience - (in person 10am - 3pm): Workshop 3, Into Action, building a business process as strong as your creative process (via Zoom) 
  • Saturday, 28th November: Submit your draft Professional Development Plan (online) 
  • By Friday 11 December: Complete your one-to-one mentoring session (arranged with your mentor) 
What you'll get 
  • Three facilitated workshops covering Vision, Mission, a Creative Warrant of Fitness and Resilience, and turning ideas into action 
  • Four self-paced online modules of your choice: project planning, the gig economy, time and goal setting, funding and sponsorship, finance, marketing and social media 
  • A one-hour one-to-one session with an experienced creative entrepreneur 
  • A Professional Development Plan with next steps for your practice 
  • A chance to meet other Waiheke creatives and hear from Wayfind alumni 
Who it's for 

Waiheke creatives at any stage, whether you're finding your feet or ready to take your work further. This is a unique opportunity to develop a strong business mindset to sit alongside your practice.

Key Dates

17 July: Entries Open

18 September: Closing date for Entries 

25 September: Artists advised of selection results

9 October: Selected works received at the Gallery. Gallery Hours 10am - 4pm, 7 days.

Friday 16 October: Exhibition opens 6pm

Saturday 17 October: Awards Ceremony

29 November: Exhibition Closes 4pm. Unsold works available for collection
