Presented by Perpetual Guardian in association with Postage Stamp Wines and the Waiheke Community Art Gallery, the Small Sculpture Prize is a national award for an original free standing or wall sculpture up to 800mm in any direction. The Premiere prize is $5,000, and a Benefactor's Merit Prize of $2,000 and the Church Bay People's Choice Award of $1500.
The 2025 selector and judge is Tim Melville.
The exhibition takes place 9 May - 8 June.
Entries open on Monday 24 February 2025. Up to two works may be submitted with up to two images (jpegs less than 5MB) for each work plus an artist's statement and an up to date CV.
Do not use any syntax or special characters in the jpeg descriptions as this will cause potential rejection of image upload.
Images need to be either of completed works or scans of drawings or designs of work yet to be made. Any special requirements needed for the work ie: power supply need to be also included. You will need to complete the online entry form (in a sequential manner) and pay the $55 entry fee on-line.
Your images will go into an image gallery which will then be assessed by our selector.
We recommend that you prepare your Artist's Statement, CV and all imagery to the required file format and file size before completing the entry form below. Follow the process through and 'continue' at the bottom of the pages as this will progress through to the payment and receipt of entry.
