You are warmly invited to attend an entertaining and informative Artists Talk by Clive Humphreys on Saturday 6 April 3pm.

Clive will be talking about his current exhibition Between Showers showing in the Allpress Olive Groves Gallery until 12 May.

Clive is a printmaker and painter with work represented in many private and public collections.

Over the last decade, the works’ focus has been on black and white watercolour and charcoal drawing to explore the primeval process of forest and landscape on Waiheke Island where the artist now lives.

His fascination with watercolour was the result of a research visit to London in 2012 and this medium’s layered transparency is evident in his recent return to acrylics and colour.

His early stencil-making experience in printmaking has informed the technical development in his current painting methods.

Clive graduated from Kingston College of Art and Design, London, in 1970.
Since then, he has exhibited extensively. In 2015, he was the recipient of a
National Tertiary Teaching Excellence Award and awarded an Honorary Master
of Fine Arts in 2020.
