'In 2020 and 2021, we were all in Lockdown amidst a world pandemic. For many it was a flame to a touch paper and a big question mark about the near future. For me it had a numbing effect. Ideas for work seemed to vanish, but I need to paint, and I had my studio space in our apartment and most of all, time.' - Susan Garland
