Svetlana Parmenter - Locals with Colour

The exhibition documents our colourful local Waiheke personalities, the friendly neighbours, who may attend a stall at the Ostend Markets, inhabit a Putiki houseboat or busk outside local shops and cafes in Oneroa and more.

Svetlana majored in Painting at Unitec in 2007, and her interest in line and lino printmaking originates from introducing year nine students to black and white lino prints early in her teaching career. Since then she has developed the reduction process to include as many as 14 colours in an individual print. Come along to the exhibtion and meet them all!
