Open Studios

Meet artists in their studios and explore the islands art scene. Over 33 Studios will be open this weekend. Painting, jewellery, ceramics, wood carving, photography, tea tasting, bespoke shoe making, music and more.


In gallery demonstrations include Alembics with Jill Mulvaney, (Sat morning)  Play with Clay with Jude Rae (Sat. Afternoon) Big Smoke cigarbox Guitars with Donal Buckley (time to be confirmed )   

Saturday evening: Waiheke Cinema  'Kobi'  - A beautiful, warm and humorous doco about Kobi Bosshard, widely regarded as the grandfather of contemporary New Zealand jewellery. Book at the Cinema 372 4240. (as this is not included in the Festival ticket.) 

Sunday Creative Courtyard and Art Fair at Artworks 11 - 4

Over 12 Waiheke artisans showcase their works. Little Cinema Open door ongoing free screenings of Waiheke related art films. 

Sunday Soiree at the Gallery 5-7

Wine and Cheese, great music by Adams & Gavin and 'Out of the Box' silent auction (of artists wineboxes)
