These works are a collaborative printmaking effort by Maia and Neko. They are exploring the important kaupapa ‘Tai Ora’, the wellbeing of our oceans and marine life.

These kakahu pieces pay tribute to the ocean life or Nga tamariki o Tangaroa, Children of the God of the Ocean. The pink print is inspired by nga Mako, the great and ever-circling sharks. The blueprint is inspired by nga Whai, the graceful and powerful stingray.

Nga mihi nui ki a Whaea Jeanine Clarkin for her awhi, tautoko and mentorship over the last 5 months.
