Jane Whiting

Jane Whiting is an established New Zealand painter who enjoys the process of paint, especially oils for their glazing and texture. She has been making art since the seventies and her work is held in collections in Europe, USA, Britain, Australia, Tahiti and New Zealand. Living on Waiheke Island for 20 years inspired a nautical theme in Jane's work. Ten years ago, Jane moved to Northland to become a full time artist. She has recently had her work selected and published in the Important World Artists' Book. Vol 1. from USA. She now spends her time between Waiheke and Northland with family and sailing in the beautiful Bay of Islands and living rurally on a mountain brings an exciting contrast. Jane has a passion for the sea and looking after our environment and recently has been working on small recycled paint pieces.
