Barbara Robinson

Studio: Barbara Robinson Studio Gallery
Location: Oneroa

Barbara Robinson lived high on Clifton Hill overlooking Christchurch and surrounding hills giving her a panoramic view of the earthquake devastation to her beloved city and environs. What had provided rich inspiration for her teaching and practice wrought sadness, and a sea change was sought.

Waiheke Island off Auckland now provides a supportive, like minded community where resourcefulness, upcycling and authenticity are celebrated, so repurposing and found materials are the ground for her art which addresses environmental and proprietary challenges to the land, sea and sky, both locally and in her former home province.
