Exciting News - Summer Workshops in January 2016 - be on quick as places are limited. This is a great opportunity to work with excellent tutors for artists of any level. Go on treat yourself to a creative weekend & spread the word!
The Gallery is excited to be able to present three weekend art workshops in January 2016. The workshops are open for artists of any level to participate and there will be an opportunity to exhibit works at the end of the workshops for friends and family. Artists will be sent a list of materials to bring prior to the course plus some materials will be provided as part of each course.
9 - 10 January: Penny Ericson, Ceramicist - Interpreting the environment - a hand building workshop with a focus on slab construction and decoration of individual ceramic pieces.
6 - 17 January: Clive Humphreys - Develop your drawing with both Life sessions and large scale spaces.
23 - 24 January: Richard Adams - Elements of Surprise Within the Abstract. Learn layering of surfaces on paper to create textures . Develop a focus on mark making when preparing for under painting . Explore textures and expressive brushwork within abstract painting. Sheets of 350gram art paper will be provided. Artists should bring there own paint brushes etc.
