Fire has been fundamental to the evolution of culture for over several hundred thousand years; even myths like Prometheus and others attempt to describe fire’s origins. Cross-culturally, fire controlled is regarded as productive, nurturing and even sacred; whereas uncontrolled fire has become a threat and signifier of climate change.
