This youth-focused workshop invites you to explore forest creation and celebrate your learnings through art. Join indigenous fashion designer/environmentalist Jeanine Clarkin and ecologist/artist Monica Peters as we discover Atawhai Whenua, a community-led restoration project that started in the 1990s. We’ll walk from Matiatia Ferry Terminal through the reserve to learn how it transformed from barren hillside to thriving ngahere forest.
